The Ministry of Culture and Art National Competition for the Most Interesting Museum Event of the Year: an individual prize for Jacek Łapott, the Manager of Department of Non-European Cultures.    

Honourable Mention of the Marshall of Westpomeranian Voivodeship in the Competition for Westpomeranian Museum Event of the Year 2014 organized by Westpomeranian Branch of the Association of Polish Museum Professionals – exhibition catalogue “Transitions. From Klinger to  Kanoldt – Graphics of German Speaking Countries from the Collections of the National Museum in Szczecin”.  

The building of The National Museum in Szczecin – The Dialogue Centre Upheavals was awarded a honorary mention in the 10th edition of the Competition for Best-Arranged Public Space in Poland held by Polish Urban Planning Association.     During World Architecture Festival, Berlin 2016, the building of The National Museum in Szczecin – The Dialogue Centre Upheavals has won the first prize in “Culture” category and, in the final of the Festival, its most important award – World Building of the Year 2016.     The Dialogue Centre Upheavals was awarded the European Prize for Urban Public Space 2016. A brave realisation by Robert Konieczny and KWK Promes office won this competition ex aequo with Recovery of the Irrigation System at the Thermal Orchards in Caldes de Montbui in Spain according to Cavaa Arquitectes concept. The verdict was announced on July 4th 2016 in Barcelona. It is the first such a prize for a Polish architect.     The Main Award of the Marshall of Westpomeranian Voivodeship in the Competition for Westpomeranian Museum Event of the Year 2015 organized by Westpomeranian Branch of the Association of Polish Museum Professionals: Not Only Tulips. Staatliches Museum Schwerin as a guest in the National Museum in Szczecin.     Sybilla 2015. Jubilee Exhibition on the 100th Anniversary of the Opening of the Main Building of the National Museum in Szczecin”. The Main Award of the Marshall of Westpomeranian Voivodeship in the Competition for Westpomeranian Museum Event of the Year 2013 organized by Westpomeranian Branch of the Association of Polish Museum Professionals: Education programe related to the exhibition „1913. The Rite of Spring. Jubilee Exhibition on the 100th Anniversary of the Opening of the Main Building of the National Museum in Szczecin”.

The First Prize in the Competition of the National Institute for Museums and Public Collections, the Graphic Design Association and the Association of Polish Museum Professionals, category: visual identity of temporary exhibition: „1913. The Rite of Spring. Jubilee Exhibition on the 100th Anniversary of the Opening of the Main Building of the National Museum in Szczecin.

The First Prize in the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage Competition for the Museum Event of the Year in history exhibition category: „The Golden Age of Pomerania. Art at the Court of the Pomeranian Dukes in the 16th and 17th Centuries”. The Main Award of the Marshall of Westpomeranian Voivodeship in the Competition for Westpomeranian Museum Event of the Year 2011 organized by Westpomeranian Branch of the Association of Polish Museum Professionals:  exhibition „Fine Arts. Art Collections of the National Museum in Szczecin”.

www.przyjacielemuzeum.pl Establishment and reactivation of TPMNS Society of Friends of the National Museum in Szczecin (Towarzystwo Przyjaciół Muzeum Narodowego w Szczecinie – TPMNS) was established on March 19th 2008. The founders determined the main objective of the society as supporting the activity of the National Museum in Szczecin and involvement in its further development. In the same year the Society began the cooperation with INVESTA Szczecin S.A. company, which donated funds for a purchase of an artwork for the collection of the Szczecin Museum. On account of this donation, the Museum bought a precious painting – Peasant Family in a Room by August Ludwig Most – the most outstanding 19th century artist related to Szczecin and Pomerania. more

Volunteers are welcome for the organization of the 11th European night of Museums on May 14th 2016. The event is an exceptional meeting of the public with art in museums, galleries, cultural institutions and interesting places, which arrange special attractions for this extraordinary night. more
