Treasures of the Time of the Plague - a Curatorial Intervention

See the exhibition entitled "Treasures of the Time of the Plague", the vernissage of which is to be held on Thursday, March 10th 2022, at 4:00 P.M. at the National Museum in Szczecin – the Dialogue Centre Upheavals!

The exposition, the elements of which are placed around all the locations of the NMS–DCU main exhibition, will be available until the end of September 2022.

The exposition will include the most interesting objects obtained by the collection of the facility during the difficult time of the pandemic, while the NMS–DCU was closed for the public for nearly one and half a year. Regardless the circumstances, the museum activity was still intense, which resulted in numerous exhibition, education and citizen-related projects as well as systematic increase in the number of the exhibits. The presentation of the objects obtained during the pandemic will also be a testimony to the public's bond with the NMS–DCU. They have responded to the museum staff's appeals, especially on our anniversaries, to look for mementos in home archives and to donate them to the place where they may serve future generations as the illustration of the history.

"Treasures of the Time of the Plague" is one of the events held within the 6th anniverasry of the opening of the NMS–DCU. The vernissage will begin with a concert of "Polks" children band and, after the tour around the exhibition, the visitors will have an occasion to watch a documentary "Pacificatuion of the A. Warski Shipyard in Szczecin in 1981" (PL) by Agnieszka Kuchcińska-Kurcz and Monika Mazanek-Wilczyńska.
