Outdoor Exhibition: Forced Labourers in German Szczecin 1939–1945

"Forced Labourers in German Szczecin 1939-1945", an open-air exhibition in plac Solidarności, located in the passage along ulica Małopolska, will be open on Friday, May 13th, at noon.

This is the first exhibition which is an effect of coopration between the University of Szczecin and the National Museum in Szczecin – the Dialogue Centre Upheavals. It will be available until the end of June this year.

The exhibition has been carried out by the students belonging to the Scientific Club of Young Historians at the Institute of History of the University of Szczecin. Their work has been supervised by Tomasz Ślepowroński, PhD. The main partner institution, the National Museum in Szczecin – the Dialogue Centre Upheavals, has supported the project with exhibits and organizational aid.

The exhibition presents the camp living and working conditions of, most of all, Polisg forced labourers who were brought to Szczecin during World War II against their will. The public will have the possibility to see original photographs, mamories and documents that were frequently donated by private individuals and had not been shown so far.
