Temporary Exhibition: Polish Eagles. National Symbols from the Collection of Tomasz Gliński

On Thursday, October 27th 2022, at 12:00 noon we are opening "Polish Eagles" exhibition.

The exposition, located at the Education Room / Open Storage of the National Museum in Szczecin – the Dialogue Centre Upheavals will be available until the end of the year. The vernissage participation is free of charge.

The exceptional exhibition presents a part of the collection of Tomasz Gliński from Szczecin. It has been inspired by the 104th anniversary of Polish independence restitution. The objects from that time, displayed in ten exhibition cases, make one immerse in the past and return to the exceptional period of Polish history: the time of regaining freedom after 123 years of captivity. The exhibits come from years 1914 (the outburst of World War I) – 1920 (victory in the Polish - Soviet War, which was a crucial element of fight for the shape of reborn Poland's territory). The role of a time machine will be played by national symbols - military cap eagles. The exhibits will be accompanied by military uniforms and equipment as well as cold weapons and posters. The majority of the objects are original, only some of them are replicas.
