Since August 29th 2019 we invite uor Visitors to The Natioinal Museum in Szczecin - The Dialogue Centre Upheavals to see two exhibitions related to the centenary of establishing Polish Red Cross. The vernissages are to be held two days later, on August 31st 2019.
The first one, related to the exposition entitled "Polish Red Cross - 100 Years of Known and Memorable History” is to take place at 3.00 P.M. at Soildarności Sq. Half an hour later, at the education hall/open storage for an open vernissage of the second exhibition, "100 Years of Polish Red Cross - Known and Memorable History".
The exhibitions present the activities of Polish Red Cross over the last hundred years, with particular emphasis on the actions in West-Pomerania after 1945. The first of them focuses precisely on the contribution of Polish Red Cross to the development of the Western Territories. It presents the most important actions aimed at helping all those in need and shows people associated with them. It consists of 20 boards containing 112 scans of archival photos, documents, posters, appeals, book covers, leaflets, stamps, certificates, etc., showing the history of the Polish Red Cross. It will be located on Solidarności Square.
The exhibition "100 Years of Polish Red Cross - Known and Memorable History", in turn, will be open the educational hall/open storage in the building of The National Museum in Szczecin - The Dialogue Centre Upheavals. It consists of items and archives from the collections of Mirosław Borowski and the West-Pomeranian Regional Department of the Polish Red Cross.
The events refer to the centenary of regaining indpendence by Poland.
