Congratulations for The Museum of Technology and Transport in Szczecin

New exhibition of The Museum of Technology and Transport in Szczecin entitled "Stoewer - Quality form Szczecin” was appreciated by the Jury of the most national museum competition, Sybilla – The Museum Event of the Year. Congratulations!

The museum professionals from Szczecin have been granted this prestigious distinction in Temporary Exhibition category, the first prize in which was won by The National Museum in Cracow for "The Past to the Future" exhibition at The Czartoryski Palace Museum. Folk Musical Instrument Museum in Szydłowiec was simultaneously awarded a distinction for the exhibition entitled "Magic of Instruments. Three-Voice Invention of Curiosity"

In 2019, the Museum purchased a collection of Stoewer Museum in Wald-Michelbach, closed in April 2002. It had been created by Manfried Bauer, a man from Szczecin, who, during a major part of his life, collected memorabilia of the most renown Szczecin industrial family, which had been dispersed around the world. At the Museum one may see their largest collection in the world. They are over a thousand of exhibits. The great emotions are obviously connected with exceptional cars, including a Stoewer C-2 made in 1913!

Obtaining this collection for Szczecin and its exposition have undoubtedly been most important museum events of 2019 in West Pomerania. It has been rare even on national and international scale on account of the collection's importance and value.

The staff of The National Museum in Szczecin is sending their Colleagues congratulations and compliments.
