POLISH-GERMAN CROSS-BORDER PROJECT "STETTIN/SZCZECIN – CULTURAL BORDERLAND"

Lions Club Szczecin invites for taking part in a Polish-German cross-border project entitled "Stettin/Szczecin – Cultural Borderland”.

The aim of the project is to present Polish and German historical view of Szczecin in the eye of culture, art, architecture and adapting former German buildings for cultural facilities, as well as the present Polish echoes of the city's German past and Polish-German relations important to it. It is going to show historical buildings, their German history and their contemporary role of cultural facilities in Polish Szczecin: the National Museum in Szczecin, Lentz Villa, the Museum of Technology and the Trafo Center for Contemporary Art in Szczecin. Curators are going to guide us around their interiors and to tell about their reconstruction and revitalisation as well as to present current exhibitions. The project will be crowned with a presentation of the Szczecin Cathedral with an organ concert.

The project is carried out online. 5 videos will present each institution within 5 days. Each display will be followed by a discussion with the participation of Polish and German curators and directors of the presented entities.
