The bilingual Polish-German catalogue of the exhibition "Stettin/Szczecin – One History. Art of the 19th and 20th Centuries from the Collection of the National Museum in Szczecin", presented at Wały Chrobrego, returns to our museum stores.
This kind of choice of Polsh works of art gives an outlook on both the circumstances of creation of the Szczecin museum collection and the peculiarity of Polish art of that time. The book includes a wide description of the history of the museum in Szczecin before and after 1945. Moreover, it depicts the history of the collection of the German museum and the circumstances of collecting exhibits for the Polish museum after 1945. The reproductions of all the works on exhibition and notes concerning them are the crowning of the catalogue.
