Exhibition concept and project leading: Dr. Waldemar Wojciechowski, Prof. AS,
Exhibition Curators: Waldemar Wojciechowski, Monika Frankowska-Makała

For the fifth time, during the Night of Museums in the "Golden Age of Pomerania" exhibition space, an exhibition of works by students of the Visual Communication Studio of the Academy of Art in Szczecin will be presented. The series of exhibitions with the common title "Genealogy" refers to works related to the former rulers of West Pomerania. Students in their work try to answer the questions: what do the souvenirs of Griffins mean for us - contemporary inhabitants of Szczecin? What kind of inspiration for a young multimedia artist can be exhibited at the exhibition? The project "Genealogy" is a courageous, but not without distancing and sense of humor interference of contemporary art in priceless evidence of history. This year the main theme of the exhibition will be women associated with the House of Griffins. The starting point for the artists' work will be reflections on the contemporary status of women, their hidden causative power, place in historiography, and the significance of selected figures for the history of Pomerania.

6:00 P.M. – 10:00 P.M.

The Department of Numismatics of The National Museum in Szczecin will set up stands for minting commemorative tokens and issuing diplomas documenting active participation in the Night of Museums in the courtyard of The Museum of Regional Traditions. An adult person will be able to personally stamp a seal in a hot lake. Children will be able to show off their knowledge about minting coins or put a seal on, for which they will receive a diploma. All this will take place under the supervision and with the help of employees of the Department of Numismatics. Activities will run under the slogan "This was done in the past. Knock out a commemorative token, seal the document. "

During the 13th European Night of Museums, the Szczecin History Museum invites you to take a closer look at the new advertising board of the pre-war newspaper "Stettiner General-Anzeiger" produced by Torpedo Email, Frankfurter Emaillir-Werke, in Neu-Isenburg in the 1930s. The board, due to its dimensions (120 x 76 cm), is a unique object, since this type of boards were not produced often. Its artistic character is also testified by its artistic values, it is an example of modernist stylistics used in advertising. This object, being an example of the cultural heritage of the pre-war region, is also an indirect symbol of political changes in Germany - the name "Stettiner General-Anzeiger" was in force from 1933, at the time the letter was completely subordinated to Hitler's power.
