On bank holidays the National Museum in Szczecin is closed, except for May 19th. November 11th (applies to some of the facilities) and December 26th.
The Museum is also closed on March 30th, May 19th, December 21st and December 31st.

From Thursday to Sunday, at the Szczecin History Museum, only the following exhibitions are available: "History and Culture of Szczecin in Swedish and Prussian Times" (1st floor) and "Reinventing Cities. Helena Kurcyusz – Architect and Urban Planner”

The Guests at the exhibition "The Golden Age of Pomerania. Art at Court of Pomeranian Dukes in 16th and 17th Centuries” and "The Dialogue Centre Upheavals Permenent Exhibition" may use free audioguides available at the Museum ticket office.

The audioguide for the exhibition "The Golden Age of Pomerania” is available in Polish, English and German; the one for "The Dialogue Centre Upheavals Permenent Exhibition" in Polish only.

Pay less

Szczecińska Karta Turystyczna - Szczecin Tourist Card ogether with the City Trail entitles to obtain reductions in several cultural institutions, restaurants etc. as well as free public transport fares. Available in two versions: 24h/20 PLN or three days/30 zł.
Accessible in Tourist Information Center at Żołnierza Polskiego 20 square and Cultural and Tourist Information Center at 34 Korsarzy St. (Pomeranian Dukes' Castle Szczecin).

Kultura Dostępna – Accessible Culture

Since February 2015 the National Museum in Szczecin sells 1 PLN ticket for children and students up to the age of 26. It is an action within the program of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage Kultura DostępnaMuzeum za złotówkę. The ticket is available upon presnetation of school or student ID or EURO26 Card. Free access for children up to the age of 7.
This ticket does not include exhibitions not organized by the Museum (eg. yearly „Wildlife Photographer of the Year” exhibition).

Karta Dużej Rodziny – Large Family Card

The National Museum in Szczecin is a partner of a governmental program for large families. The National Museum in Szczecin entrance ticket (separate for each building) for the card owner costs 3 PLN.
The card is to be presented at the ticket purchase. The ticket does not include separately charged exhibitions.

Due to renowation works buidling is temporarily not adapted for physically disabled visitors - no elevator.

Buidling adapted for physically disabled visitors.

At the main entrance stairs, in the left, there is a door-bell, with which the visitor calls the Museum staff. After the bell, the staff is obligued to help the visitor and show the way to the lift.
