Paintings from the Series "Projections" by Danuta Dąbrowska-Wojciechowska in the Collection of the National Museum in Szczecin

The collection of the National Museum in Szczecin – the Museum of Contemporary Art has been enriched by paintings from the series "Projections" by Danuta Dąbrowska-Wojciechowska of 1991.

The series is composed of 7 paintings on canvas in mixed technique in the format 100x130 cm.

The works were presented for the first time at an individual exhibition "Paintings and Objects" at the Gallery of Contmeporary art of the Pomeranian Dukes' Castle in Szczecin in 1993.

 

Danuta Dąbrowska - multimedia artist, author of paintings, installations, stage design and graphic projects; graduate of the State Higher School of Visual Arts in Poznań (now University of Arts). Educator at the Academy of Art in Szczecin since its establishing in 2010. Vice-dean of the Faculty of Painting and New Media from 2012 to 2019.
She has participated in more than 100 solo and collective exhibitions as well as international symposia and conferences. From 2004 to 2013 she was a member of the expert chapter of the Zachęta Contemporary Art Association in Szczecin. From 2022 she is a member of the Programme Council of Trafostacja Sztuki in Szczecin.
