The temporary exhibition of works by Katarzyna Zimnoch and Paweł Kleszczewski "KONIK STUDIO timeline" on display at the National Museum in Szczecin - the Museum of Contemporary Art has been extended until 7 January 2024.
The KONIK Film Studio is run by the artistic duo Katarzyna Zimnoch and Paweł Kleszczewski. They work in the fields of visual arts, new media, painting and animated film. They are present both in gallery spaces and at film festivals.
The exhibition at the National Museum in Szczecin brings together the work of the last ten years. Paintings, animations and films, drawings, prints, monotypes, miniatures, textures, installations and computer graphics prints are on exposition. It will be possible to learn about the filmmaking process, its stages, compare storyboards (scripts) and fragments of animatics. Film and animation by KONIK STUDIO is a material like paint and board, not a narrative medium and mass entertainment. They are artistic and experimental films. They go beyond storytelling to create fantastic images full of symbols and archetypes. Experimentation has led the artists to develop their own technique: combining glass painting with computer animation.
