The organisers of the 'My Piñata' competition decided to give a second life to the extraordinary works prepared by children for the competition accompanying the temporary exhibition 'Joy of Life. Mexican Folk Art from the Collection of Stanisław Kasprzyk" (on show at the Museum at Wały Chrobrego from March to November 2023).
Children made beautiful piñatas, which were enjoyed by the creators at the design and creation stage, the museum professionals who judged the works and created the post-competition exhibition, and the museum visitors who were able to admire them last year.
In order to give them a second life, bring joy to others and support a good cause, we donated them to an NGO: the Polish Scouting and Guiding Association, District Szczecin-Pogodno.
The piñatas have been put up for auction and the proceeds will support this year's Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity fundraising. We invite you to take part in the auctions!
