Meeting of Directors of Museums and Remembrance Institutions Run and Co-Run by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage

The National Museum in Szczecin is hosting the annual Meeting of Directors of Museums and Remembrance Institutions run and co-run by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.

The inauguration session was participated by:
- Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus, Secretary of State, Ministry of Culture and National Heritage,
- Anna Bańkowska, Member of the Board of West-Pomeranian Voivodeship,
- Dr. Piotr Rypson, Director of the Department of Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage,
- Lech Karwowski, Director of the Nationla Musuem in Szczecin.


The aim of the regular meetings of museum executives is to create a space for the exchange of knowledge and experience and to present significant projects recently implemented by museums. The Szczecin meeting will last until Wednesday, 24 April 2024.

 

The participants are directors and representatives of, among others, the National Museums – in Warsaw, Gdańsk, Cracow, Kielce, Wawel Royal Castle, Łazienki Królewskie Museum in Warsaw, the Museum of Polish History, the National Maritime Museum and European Centre of Solidarity in Gdańsk, the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum, the Józef Piłsudski Museum in Sulejówek, the Museum of Art in Łódź, the Tatra Mountains Museum in Zakopane and many others. It will also be participated by representatives of the National Institute for Museums, the "Pamięć i Przyszłość" Centre or the Institute of Solidarity Heritage.

The meeting is organised by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the National Institute for Museums and the National Museum in Szczecin.
