I General Provisions

  1. These Regulations (Hereinafter referred to as the Regulations) determine the rules of using the National Museum in Szczecin mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the Application).
  2. The Owner and the Administrator of the Application is the National Museum in Szczecin - Muzeum Narodowe ul. Staromłyńska 27, 70-561 Szczecin, Poland, e-mail: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
  3. The Application Provider is Koma Nord Sp. z o.o
  4. The User of the Application is any person who has downloaded the Application.
  5. The Application is a form of a guide and an audioguide designed for individual visit to permanent exhibitions at the National Museum in Szczecin dedicated to the old culture of Pomerania.
  6. The Regulations are available within the Application and at https://muzeum.szczecin.pl

II Acces and Use of the Mobile Application

  1. The Application is made available to the User by being downloadable to the Mobile Device from the following stores:
    ● App Store for iOS operating system,
    ● Google Play for Android operating system.
  2. Downloading the application from the online store to a mobile device is free (data transfer fees may apply for downloading the application).
  3. Launching the Application is tantamount to concluding a contract for the use of the Application between the Owner/Provider and the User.
  4. The latest version of the Application will be located in the appropriate of the above-mentioned stores and available for download by the User.
  5. Using the Application is free of charge.
  6. The Provider informs that the installation of the Application updates provided from time to time by the Provider may be necessary for its proper operation and proper protection of the data contained therein. The provider recommends installing such updates immediately after they are made available via the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

III Technical Requirements

  1. The installation of the Application requires downloading the Application from the online store specified in point II.1. to the User's mobile device.
  2. The device on which the Application is to be launched must meet the following technical requirements for the operating system:
  3. for the version of the Application downloaded from Google Play - Android version 6.0 or higher,
  4. for the version of the Application downloaded from the App Store - iOS version 12.0 or higher.
  5. Internet access is required to install and update the Application.
  6. Using the Application means acceptance of the content of these Regulations by the User. If the User does not agree to accept the Regulations, the Application should be uninstalled.

IV Terms of Use and Responsibility

  1. The application presents a map of the exhibition, photos and illustrations of exhibits and their description on the screen of the mobile device. It allows you to add exhibits to the list of favourites and hear a recording of the description of the exhibit read out loud by a lector.
  2. The application is available in Polish, English and German. After launching the Application, the User can select the language.
  3. The application does not collect any personally identifiable information.
  4.  Android and iOS require the user's permission to access the location at all times when the applicatoion is on. This is required to use the Bluetooth function. Giving this consent will allow the user to take an interactive tour based on the beacon transmitters located at the exhibition. The user does not have to agree to access the location to use the application without this functionality
  5. The User is obliged to use the Application:
    ● in a manner consistent with applicable law, the Regulations and the regulations of the stores in which the Application was made available,
    ● respecting the personal rights of third parties (including the right to privacy) and any other rights they are entitled to.
  6. The User is obliged to use any information and materials made available through the Application only within the scope of permitted use.
  7. The User is obliged to immediately notify the Application Administrator of any violation of rights in connection with the use of the Application.
  8. The User may stop using the Application at any time. Cessation of use requires uninstalling the Application from the mobile device.
  9. The User uses the Application voluntarily, at their own risk.
  10. The Provider informs that they are not responsible for:
    ● damages resulting from the User's failure to update the Application;
    ● damages resulting from the User's use of the Application in a manner inconsistent with the law or the Regulations;
    ●the quality and availability of telecommunication services necessary to download the Application, provided by the telecommunication operator whose services the User uses;
    ● failures or irregularities in the functionning of the Application resulting from malfunctions of the operating system or mobile device used by the User, in particular for unauthorized access and actions resulting from the operation of malicious software or failure to protect it by the User of the Application.
  11. The Provider informs that the Application is made available in the current production version. However, further development of the Application and the introduction of new functions are expected in the future, which may result in the necessity to update the Application, including the obligation to confirm that you have read the new versions of the Regulations. The Provider informs about the extension of functionality and the resulting changes in use in messages on websites and social media.

V Authorship Laws

  1. All rights to trademarks, copyrights, database rights and any other intellectual property rights to the content of the Application belong to the National Museum in Szczecin or to the owners of licenses/trademarks/content that have given the National Museum in Szczecin permission to use them. It is forbidden to copy, modify, use in any form and reproduce, in whole or in part, the content of the Application for commercial purposes without the prior written consent of the management of the National Museum in Szczecin.
  2. Upon installation of the Application, the Provider grants the User a non-exclusive license to use the Application under the conditions specified below.
  3. The licence granted is non-exclusive, non-transferable, and does not entitle to grant further licences (sub-licences).
  4. The license is granted for an indefinite period and without territorial restrictions.
  5. On the basis of the license granted, the User is entitled to multiply the Application to the extent necessary to install and use it on the User's mobile devices, if these activities are undertaken for the purpose of using the Application in accordance with the Regulations.
  6. Using the content published in the Application does not mean that the User acquires any copyrights. The User may use this content only to the extent permitted by the Polish Act on Copyright and Related Rights.
  7. No part or all of the content used by the User, taking into account sec. 5, may not be reproduced and distributed in any form or by any other means (electronic or mechanical), including copying and posting on the Internet. The use or use of the content in whole or in part without the consent of the Service Provider is prohibited.

VI Technical Support and Users' Reports 

  1. Technical support for the Application is ensured by providing Users with an e-mail address.
